Gjuro Varga je bio jedan od najpoznatijih zagrebačkih fotografa osamdesetih i devedesetih godina 19. stoljeća. Varga je rođen u mađarskom mjestu Koszek.
Varga je imao dva atelijera u Ilici, jedan na spoju Ilice i Gundulićeve, a drugi na Ilici 34.
